KD Reunion

In April we headed north so I could attend a Kappa Delta Reunion at Iowa State. KD has had a chapter at ISU for 100 years. Over 200 alumni came back to help the actives on campus celebrate. The Kappa Delta House at 2102 Sunset Drive.

Only eight of us were there from the time that I lived in the house. Karen could not attend the Saturday evening dinner. Susie, Shellie and Linda in front. Elizabeth, Kae, me and Linda in the back.

The campanile stands across from the Memorial Union. On Sunday Tom and I took a walk around campus before leaving Ames.

After the walk we took a nostalgic drive around Ames. Our first home was 125H in University Village. This is what it looked like back and then still today. Two bedrooms, one bath upstairs. The kitchen window is on the left about 3 feet away from the front door! The open fields that we walked by to get to campus have been turned into a golf course. King's Food Host and the Cave In are long gone, but Home Furniture is still there where I did an interior design internship the summer after we were married.
